Recognised for Pioneering Research in Translational Gastroenterology and Diabetes
Hyderabad – Dr. M. Sasikala, Director of Research at the Institute of Translational Science, AIG Hospitals, has been awarded the prestigious Honorary Fellowship of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) for the year 2024.
In its official citation, the AAAS lauded Dr. Sasikala’s significant contributions to translational gastroenterology, with particular recognition for her groundbreaking research into the molecular mechanisms underlying endocrine pancreatic dysfunctions in diabetes, AIG Hospitals said in a statement.
The honorary fellowship is among the most esteemed accolades in the scientific community, recognising individuals for their efforts to advance science or its applications in service to society.
