Haryana govt. to enhance facilities for soldiers & ex-servicemen, launches new initiative

Chandigarh: The Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini while chairing a meeting of the Health Department announced that the state government will launch a new initiative to enhance health facilities for serving soldiers, ex-servicemen, and their families. This includes developing health facilities similar to Army Polyclinics in various towns, based on need, through coordination with the army. This initiative aims to ensure that military personnel and their dependents can access healthcare services close to their homes.


The CM instructed the officials from the Health Department to develop health facilities for defence personnel and their family members. He said that at present Army hospitals and polyclinics are functioning in Panchkula, Ambala and Hisar etc., on the same lines, health facilities should be developed at other places as per the demand and need of the soldiers. Health Minister Dr. Kamal Gupta was also present on this occasion.

While instructing the health department officials, the Chief Minister emphasized the need to coordinate with top army officials and take appropriate action to implement this initiative. Haryana government would provide the necessary resources for these health facilities. He also mentioned that there has been a demand from ex-servicemen to develop health facilities in military-dominated areas such as Rewari, Rohtak, and Mahendragarh.
