Gurugram : Quack selling medicine promising ‘Baby Boy’ arrested

Gurugram : An FIR has been registered against Mohammed Yameen for running a clinic in Arya Samaj Mandir in Badshapur and giving false promise to women that they would deliver a baby boy if they took his medicines. The quack Mohammed Yameen has been practicing for the last eight years and has cheated several women’s by guaranting them a male child.

In a police complaint, the health department said that they had formed a team of 4 doctors that was headed by the CMO Dr. Virender Yadav after receiving several complaints of the quack. “We arranged a decoy patient and handed over a marked note of Rs.2000 for consultation and medicine from the quake. The patient told Yameen that she had two female child and this time she is pregnant and wanted a male child. The quack asked her some questions and gave her medicine for which she was charged Rs.500. The decoy patient alerted us and we alerted the police and ensured that the quack was nabbed.” said the medical team.

The police has filed an FIR against the quack under the relevant sections of the Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques ( Regulation and Prevention of Misuse Act) and Drugs and Cosmetic Act along with Sec 336 and Sec 420 of the IPC.
