
New Delhi / Lucknow | A fire broke out at Lok Bandhu Hospital in Lucknow on Monday, prompting swift evacuation efforts that ensured the safety of all patients, authorities confirmed. No casualties were reported in the incident.
Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, who arrived at the scene shortly after the fire was reported, assured the public that the situation is under control. “Smoke was detected on the ground floor. The hospital staff immediately started shifting the patients,” he said.
“Around 200 patients have been shifted. Serious patients have been sent to KGMU (King George’s Medical University). Some have also been sent to the civil hospital,” Pathak added. “There is nothing to worry about now. Firefighters are inside the building and firefighting operations are underway… All patients are safe. Two to three serious patients have been moved to the ICU ward of KGMU.”
