Fake Max hospital website solicitates potential kidney sellers

Gurugram : An FIR has been lodged against unknown individuals for creating a fake website in the name of Max Healthcare to solicit kidney sellers online. The website also features the name of Dr. Dinesh Khullar, a doctor associated with the hospital. Hardik Gandhi has filed the complaint on behalf of Max Healthcare Institute Limited, when the group became aware of the fake website a few days ago.

The website claims to be associated with Max Healthcare and solicits people to contact them if they want to sell a kidney. The website also appears when searched on Google, according to the complaint. Max Healthcare, in its complaint, stated that it is strongly against the black market and trafficking of human organs and that the present complaint is intended to uncover those who are using the hospital’s hard-earned reputation and goodwill for fraudulent purposes.

In response to the complaint, an FIR has been registered against unknown individuals under Section 66-C of the IT Act at Cyber Crime, South, Police Station. A senior police officer confirmed that the FIR was registered on Thursday night. Max Healthcare has urged people to be cautious and report any suspicious activity related to the sale of organs online. The hospital has also assured the public that it will take all necessary steps to ensure that such fraudulent activities do not occur.
