Chikkamagaluru : In Karnataka’s Chikkamagaluru hospital a gynecologist who was scheduled to perform multiple sterilization operation collapsed seconds before the beginning of the operations. It was a scheduled operation in which nine women patients were hospitalized for a sterilization operation.
The gynecologist , Mr. Balakrishna was sleeping in the OT since the morning of the multiple sterilization operation. The patients were given anesthesia in the morning at 8 am and the procedure was to start at 2 pm. The gynecologist collapsed just before the start of the surgeries as he was in an inebriated state. Meanwhile the patients families have demanded a strict action be taken against the gynecologist. The gynecologist is said to be a habitual offender and had been previously caught under the influence of the alcohol.
