The matter reached the commission after the deceased doctor’s mother filed a formal complaint. She stated that on April 24, 2025, she was informed that her daughter had been set on fire inside a university room in Hisar. Although an FIR was registered, she alleged that the accused was later released in alleged connivance with the police and that no meaningful action was taken. She sought a fair and impartial investigation.
