New Delhi: A doctor was held at gunpoint and robbed near Signature Bridge in Timarpur, Delhi, on Friday morning. The suspects, who arrived in a reportedly stolen cab, later attacked a policeman while escaping.
Failed Kidnapping Attempt
The victim, who runs a naturopathy clinic, was on his way to meet a patient when he stopped by the roadside. Suddenly, the armed robbers confronted him, attempting to rob him. When he resisted, they tried to force him into their cab, possibly to kidnap him.
Cop Intervenes, Robbers Flee
A head constable patrolling the area noticed the commotion and rushed to intervene. However, the suspects abandoned the stolen cab and fled, attempting to hit the constable twice while escaping. Fortunately, both the doctor and the officer remained unharmed.
Police have launched an investigation and are exploring all possible angles to identify and apprehend the culprits.
