34-Year-Old Succumbs to Injuries While Being Taken to Hospital
In Hoshiarpur, a 34-year-old doctor lost his life in a tragic road accident on the Hoshiarpur–Jalandhar main road, sending shockwaves across the local community and his native village.
The deceased has been identified as Dr. Navreet Singh Mandial, son of former Senior Medical Officer and noted dental specialist Dr. Jaswant Singh Mandial. The accident reportedly occurred on Wednesday night along the busy highway stretch.
According to reports, Dr. Mandial’s motorcycle allegedly went out of control and collided with an unidentified vehicle near a factory situated along the road. The impact left him critically injured.
Earlier in the day, he had visited his ancestral village, Mandialan, for agricultural work. At around 8:30 pm, while returning to his residence in Hoshiarpur, the fatal accident took place.
Local residents and passersby rushed him to the Civil Hospital in Hoshiarpur for emergency treatment. However, he reportedly succumbed to his injuries while being transported to the hospital.
His sudden demise has cast a pall of gloom over both Hoshiarpur and his native village. Family members, friends, and members of the medical fraternity have expressed deep grief over the loss.
In a similar tragic incident reported earlier in Bihar, a doctor couple was killed when their car collided with a parked container truck near a toll plaza under the Sarai police station area of Vaishali district.
According to police officials, the accident occurred around 4:15 am on the Muzaffarpur–Patna highway as the couple, residents of Patna district, were returning home from Araria. Authorities had stated that the collision with the parked truck proved fatal, highlighting ongoing concerns about highway safety.
