Shocking Discovery in Thirumullaivoyal
Chennai: The decomposed bodies of a 70-year-old kidney patient and his daughter were found inside their locked house in Thirumullaivoyal, near Avadi, after neighbours alerted police about a foul smell emanating from the house.
According to reports, the victim, Samuel Shankar, a resident of Vellore, was suffering from kidney failure and had been undergoing dialysis. He had been living with his daughter in a rented house. The house had been locked for months, raising suspicions among neighbours.
Doctor Arrested for Murder
Upon investigation, police arrested Samuel Ebenezer, the doctor responsible for Shankar’s dialysis treatment. The initial probe revealed that Shankar had passed away months ago due to his illness. Following his death, his daughter confronted Ebenezer, blaming him for her father’s demise.
During a heated argument, Ebenezer allegedly pushed the woman, causing her accidental death. Fearing the consequences, he locked the house and fled.
The bodies have been sent to Kilpauk Government Hospital for post-mortem examination, and further investigations are underway.
