In a major push to bolster Delhi’s primary healthcare infrastructure, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and her Cabinet will inaugurate 33 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs across the capital on Saturday. The initiative aims to strengthen accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare under the Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission.
Gupta will personally inaugurate one centre and unveil six others virtually. The remaining 26 centres will be inaugurated physically by six Cabinet Ministers in their respective constituencies.

According to officials:
- 964 locations have been earmarked for future Ayushman Arogya Mandir sub-centres
- 255 permanent health centres will replace temporary Mohalla Clinics
- Equipment and medicines from older clinics to be relocated to new facilities
- Centres comply with Indian Public Health Standards (IPHS) 2022 tailored for urban India

The 15 newly inaugurated Jan Aushadhi Kendras are aimed at significantly reducing patients’ out-of-pocket expenses by providing low-cost generic alternatives to branded medicines.
