Appointment Letters Distributed in Patna
Patna: Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey on Tuesday distributed appointment letters to 410 newly recruited medical officers at a ceremony held in the Energy Auditorium. The doctors will soon be posted at Additional Primary Health Centres (APHCs) across the state.
Strengthening Rural Health Services
Addressing the event, Pandey said the fresh batch of MBBS doctors will significantly improve healthcare delivery in rural Bihar. He highlighted the state’s ongoing recruitment drives for specialist doctors, Ayush practitioners, paramedics, ANMs, and GNMs.
Large-Scale Recruitment Drive
The minister said nearly 1,200 doctors have been appointed under the National Health Mission in the last three months, while the recruitment of over 3,000 more doctors is in its final phase. He also announced that new health sub-centres will open next month.
State Govt’s Vision for Healthcare
Praising Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s leadership, Pandey stressed the government’s goal of ensuring quality medical facilities within Bihar, reducing the need for patients to travel outside the state. He urged the new recruits to work with compassion and humility.

The ceremony was attended by senior officials, including Health Secretary Lokesh Kumar Singh, Executive Director Suharsh Bhagat, and Dr. Nilesh Ramchandra Devre, along with Vaibhav Chaudhary and Amitabh Singh.
