The DNB qualification, awarded by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), holds the same recognition as MD/MS degrees in India.
Empowering Internal and National Talent
As part of its strategic vision, CHD has reserved 50% of its DNB seats for doctors from CIL and its subsidiaries, helping to upgrade in-house expertise. The remaining seats are available to medical graduates from across India, fostering a competitive and diverse training atmosphere.

This expansion supports BCCL’s broader commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, particularly in healthcare, education, and community welfare. The initiative is seen as a step towards holistic nation-building, reinforcing healthcare services not only in Dhanbad and surrounding areas but also across the coal industry nationwide.
“Today, BCCL has taken its Central Hospital Dhanbad to the forefront of leading healthcare institutes in the CIL family, furthering its vision of ensuring holistic healthcare infrastructure and wellness for all,” said CMD, BCCL, Shri Samiran Dutta.
