
MoU to facilitate clinical training, internships, and placements for healthcare students
Srinagar: In a step towards strengthening industry-academia collaboration in healthcare education, Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura (near Chandigarh), on Friday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Livasa Hospital, Mohali.
The MoU aims to enhance clinical training opportunities, internships, and placement prospects for students pursuing nursing and paramedical programmes.
Signing Ceremony Highlights Collaborative Commitment
The formal signing ceremony included key representatives from both institutions.
Livasa Hospital was represented by Neha Rampal, AGM HR and Group Head Talent Acquisition, and Harpreet Singh Saini, Deputy Manager HR.
From Aryans Institute of Nursing, Principal Nidhi Chopra and Nursing Coordinator Himanshi participated in the event.
Hands-on Experience to Bridge Theory and Practice
Speaking at the ceremony, Principal Nidhi Chopra said the collaboration would help bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical exposure.
“This MoU aims to provide hands-on clinical experience to our students. As per WHO, there will be a global shortage of 10 million health workers by 2030. This partnership will help prepare students with the necessary skills and industry readiness,” she said.
Institutional Recognition and Programme Offerings
The MoU follows Aryans Group recently receiving the Award for Excellence in Paramedical and Nursing Education, presented by Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria. Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains attended the award ceremony as Guest of Honour, where Chairman Anshu Kataria received the award on behalf of the institution.
Aryans Institute of Nursing currently offers several programs:
- BSc Nursing, GNM, and ANM, approved by Punjab Government and INC, affiliated with BFUHS, Faridkot and PNRC, Mohali.
- Paramedical courses in Radiology, Cardiac Care, OT, Anesthesia, and Medical Life Sciences under IKGPTU, Jalandhar.
- B Pharma and Physiotherapy under MRSPTU, Bathinda, recognised by PCI, New Delhi.
- D Pharma, approved by the Punjab Government.
- Vocational courses like Home Care Helper, Operation Theatre Attendant, Ambulance Attendant, and Hospital Attendant, certified by the Punjab Government.
