Navi Mumbai– Apollo Children’s Hospital, in collaboration with Boston Children’s Hospital (USA), the Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP), and the Navi Mumbai Association of Paediatrics (NMAP), is set to host the ABC Children’s Conclave 2025 on May 3–4 at Aurika Hotel, Mumbai International Airport.
The two-day international event will bring together leading pediatricians, medical researchers, and innovators from around the world to discuss advancements in pediatric care, challenges in child wellness, and the growing importance of digital safety and mental health in the post-pandemic era.
Child Wellness and Community Initiatives
Ahead of the conclave, Apollo Children’s Hospital has launched community outreach programs across Navi Mumbai aimed at combating rising issues like mobile phone addiction, unhealthy diets, and lack of awareness about holistic child development.
Dr. Vijay Yewale, Senior Consultant and Head of Paediatrics at Apollo Hospitals Navi Mumbai, noted that the initiatives include awareness drives at study centres, where pediatricians from NMAP are educating families on digital safety and nutrition. These efforts are supported by Takshshila Prabodhini Samajik Sanstha and include the distribution of school bags, notebooks, lights, and blackboards to promote learning equity.
“Bachpan”: Focusing on Emotional Health and Parenting
A key highlight of the conclave is “Bachpan”, a dedicated event offering parents and caregivers practical tools for child development, emotional resilience, and positive parenting. The program features speakers from both India and abroad, bringing global insights to everyday parenting challenges in the digital age.
Pediatric Innovation and Clinical Excellence
Dr. Anupam Sibal, Group Medical Director and Senior Pediatric Gastroenterologist at Apollo Hospitals Group, emphasized the transformative vision behind the conclave:
“The ABC Children’s Conclave 2025 is a celebration of pediatric innovation. By blending research with compassion, we are committed to delivering the highest standards of care to every child.”
Highlighting the hospital’s accomplishments, Dr. Yewale said Apollo Children’s has completed 25 bone marrow transplants, 17 kidney transplants, 60 liver transplants, 100+ minimally invasive surgeries, and over 2,000 cardiac interventions, all while maintaining international-standard infection control protocols.
Dr. Mangai Sinha, President of NMAP, added:
“Awareness and transformation begin at the grassroots. Our collaboration with Apollo Hospitals is empowering families and laying the foundation for a healthier future.”
Arunesh Punetha, CEO – Western Region, Apollo Hospitals, echoed the sentiment:
“This isn’t just a conference—it’s a movement. By prioritizing education, awareness, and prevention, we are creating a healthcare ecosystem that begins in the community and extends into cutting-edge clinical care.”
