Action against Homeopath for ignoring rules : Not registered with Council

Pune : The Health Department of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) took action against Dr Yatish Ramkishan Jain, a homeopath, in Lohegaon who was practicing homeopathy medicine without registering with the Maharashtra Medical Council. The doctor’s actions were discovered through the Municipal Corporation’s bogus medical professional search campaign.

In this case, the regional medical officers filed a complaint at the Vimantal police station. After verifying the complaint, the head of the health department, Dr. Ashish Bharti, and Assistant Health Officer Dr. Kalpana Baliwant, took action against the doctor with the help of local police.

Dr. Jain on the other hand said “I have been in Maharashtra for the last decade and have worked in several renowned hospitals. I completed my studies from Madhya Pradesh. I passed out in 2005 and registered with the medical council in Madhya Pradesh in 2006. The only problem is that I didn’t register myself with the MCH.”
