MARGHERITA– A shocking act of mob violence occurred outside Margherita FRU/Civil Hospital on Thursday morning when a group of people brutally assaulted Dr. Selix Alam, a gynecologist posted at the hospital. The incident allegedly arose from a personal family dispute.
Accusations of Elopement and Blackmail
Sources claim that the mob accused Dr. Alam of eloping with a Hindu female hospital employee from Jagun several months ago. The woman’s family further alleged that he had blackmailed her and her relatives, which led to the violent attack.
