Kochi, Kerala: The District Ayurveda Hospital in Ernakulam has successfully launched its e-hospital system, marking a significant leap in digital healthcare services for the region. The system, integrated with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, aims to enhance patient care and optimize hospital operations.
The eHospital System is an advanced Hospital Management System (HMS) designed to meet the evolving needs of modern healthcare facilities. It facilitates integration across hospitals, medical centres, clinics, and pharmacies, ensuring seamless connectivity. The system enables multi-location functionality, allowing hospitals, satellite clinics, and pharmacies to work efficiently together. Unlike traditional paper-based systems, the e-hospital system uses cloud technology, enabling fast access to patient data, improving performance and hospital workflow.
The system was inaugurated on January 4, 2025, by Manoj Moothedan, with the presence of the hospital’s Chief Medical Officer and local Panchayat members. As part of Phase I, patients will now be able to register online and pre-schedule their visit, eliminating the need to wait in long queues.
Additionally, the hospital continues to implement the Mathrivandanam Scheme, a maternal health initiative that offers comprehensive care for pregnant women, in collaboration with the District Panchayat.
The launch of this e-hospital system is expected to improve healthcare accessibility and efficiency in the region, aligning with the broader goals of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission.
