Woman dies due to medical negligence of doctors in Mulugu, Telangana

Mulugu, Telangana: In yet another case of medical negligence, a 43-year-old woman died after she was administered an injection by a Registered Medical Practitioner(RMP) in Jampangawai village of Tadvai mandal of the district. According to reports, four days ago, Ratnakumari, who was working as an assistant branch postman at Oorattam post office, developed high fever and she approached a RMP doctor in Narlapuram for treatment. The RMP gave injections and tablets and sent her home.

On Sunday evening once again she visited the RMP as her fever was not subsiding. The RMP put her on saline and administered an injection. Soon her condition deteriorated and a panicked RMP asked her family members to shift her to Mulugu government hospital, where the doctor advised them to take her to MGM Hospital, Warangal for better treatment. However, she died while being shifted in an ambulance. The family members are blaming the RMP for her death. They lodged a complaint against the RMP with the DMHO.
