UP: Tracking doctors attendance with Geo- Fencing

Lucknow: In a move to streamline attendance in the PHC’s and CHC’s, the UP government has directed all the Divisional Commissioners and District Magistrates to start a system of recording online attendance of doctors in PHC’s and CHC’s through geo-fencing and clock the timing of their entry and exit to ensure their presence during duty hours. The move by the UP government is the fallout of increasing absenteeism of doctors in PHC’s and CHC’s. It has also been directed that the officials ensure that the doctors posted in blocks and tehsils necessarily stayed at the place of their posting. Also the officials were instructed to conduct surprise inspection so as to ascertain that no middleman or touts operate in PHC’s and CHC’s.
