Foreign MBBS graduate booked forging papers to work in Patna Hospital

Patna : Mohammad Shamim Farooqui, an MBBS graduate from Kathmandu in Nepal, a resident doctor in the emergency ward of a leading Patna Hospital has been sacked and is facing a litancy of charges, including forgery to gain employment.  The Patna Hospital Paras HMRI Hospital has filed an FIR against Farooqui on charges of forgery, cheating, criminal misconduct and others.

Farooqui is accused of flunking a vital test required of Indian foreign graduates to practice in India. But it is being alleged that he produced fake documents and got himself register with the Bihar Council of Medical Registration(BCMR) which enable him to become eligible for the hospital job. Farooqui alleged forging came to light when he came under the scrutiny of CBI which has been investigating at least 73 foreign medical graduates qualification and eligibility to practice in India.
