Chhattisgarh Government sacks 11 doctors for prolonged absence

Raipur : The Chhattisgarh government on Friday sacked 11 medical officers for being absent from duty for a long time. The services of Dr. Sumit Solanki (Nava Raipur), Dr Dharmendra Kumar (Kabirdham), Dr. Riddhi Arora and Dr. Surendra Kumar Sistu (both Durg), Dr. Chhavi Jangade (Bemetara), Dr. Parul Jogi (Masturi), Dr. Tanya Mishra and Dr. Sharda Parihar (Mungeli), Dr. Shaba Parveen (Surajpur), Dr. Dhananjay Prasad Sahu (Sonhat) and Dr. Kamal Kumar Dahire (Farsabahar) have been terminated for unauthorized absence for more than three years, an official statement said.

The Health Department has sought reply from the two medical officers, Dr Jyoti Sonwani (Bemetara) and Dr. Awadheshwar Sai (Kota) within 15 days, the statement said.
