NEW DELHI — The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the Advance Intimation Slip for Examination City for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2026. Aspiring medical students can now access the slip on the official website, neet.nta.nic.in, to find out which city they have been allotted for the upcoming entrance exam.
Exam Schedule and Logistics
The NEET UG 2026 is scheduled to take place on May 3, 2026, in a single shift from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM (IST). The exam will be conducted in an offline (pen-and-paper) format across 552 cities in India and 14 cities abroad.
Not the Admit Card
The NTA has explicitly clarified that the city intimation slip is not the official admit card. Its primary purpose is to provide candidates with advance information about their allotted city to facilitate timely travel and logistical arrangements. The official admit cards, which will contain the exact examination centre address and reporting times, are expected to be released in the last week of April 2026.
Steps to Download the City Intimation Slip
Candidates can follow these steps to check their allotted exam city:
- Visit the official NTA NEET portal at neet.nta.nic.in.
- Click on the link titled “Advance City Intimation for NEET(UG) – 2026”.
- Enter your Application Number, Date of Birth (or Password), and the displayed Security Pin.
- View and download the slip for your records.
