Indian-origin dentist reportedly collapsed at her Sharjah residence and was taken to a private hospital, but doctors could not save her; cause of death remains unknown
A 32-year-old Indian-origin dentist and mother of two died after reportedly collapsing suddenly at her home in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, on Monday morning. The medical cause of her death has not yet been established.
The woman lived with her husband and two young children in the Al Qasimia area of Sharjah. According to her family, she had taken a break from her dentistry career to care for her children.
Dentist Found Unresponsive in Kitchen
According to the family, the woman’s husband, who works as a teacher, was away at work when the incident occurred. A relative who was staying at the same residence was also present at the time.
The relative had reportedly dropped her son at school before returning home to sleep. She was later alerted by the sound of one of the children crying and went to check what had happened.
She subsequently found the dentist collapsed in the kitchen.
The relative immediately attempted to revive her by performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), while an ambulance was called.
Doctors Could Not Save Her
The woman was taken to a private hospital in Sharjah following the incident.
Despite efforts by medical professionals to revive her, she could not be saved.
Her husband travelled from Saudi Arabia to the UAE after learning about her death. He reportedly said that she had appeared to be in good health and had no known underlying medical condition.
Cause of Death Yet to Be Established
The circumstances surrounding the woman’s sudden collapse remain unclear.
Authorities have not yet established the medical cause of death, and further details are awaited. The family is awaiting the formal death notification and completion of other required procedures.
Her remains are expected to be repatriated to her hometown in Kerala after the necessary formalities are completed.

The incident comes after another recent case involving the death of a woman doctor in India.
A woman doctor from the Department of Paediatrics at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Vijaypur was reportedly found dead inside her car in the Rajinder Nagar area of Jammu.
